Country Living
at its Best in America's
Heartland
We look forward to your visit
The
Shepherds Oak is located in East Central Indiana on 25 scenic acres of softly
rolling hills. Visitors enjoy meandering through the ever changing
beauty of the
farm. The Blue Herons and wildfowl arrive at the pond in the spring
as the frog song is in full chorus. Summer evening sparkle
with fireflies glittering the pastures and fields. The splendor of autumn color quickly gives way to the sleepy,
glean of frost and snow in winter peaceful hold. All the while the farm is a buzz with
colorful, huggable fuzzy critters of all sizes for young and old to enjoy.
The Shepherd's Oak is located approximately 6 miles east of Indiana State Road 3 North and 1.5 miles north of Indiana State Road 28 in Northeastern Delaware County
Visitors are always welcome by appointment

Educational & Entertaining Farm Tours
Mainly because of economic reasons very few people continue to live a small farm country lifestyle. It is our great joy to share this unique lifestyle with others. The popularity of our farm tours continue to grow. We have entertained and educated many different people and groups - Families looking for a fun activity for kids/grandkids home, Church social groups, preschool groups, home school groups, clubs, scouts, etc.... Time is limited with plenty to do on the farm. We we do not want to turn anyone away. We have found a solution used by many others, the exchange of money for time/service (agri-tourism). We have created a small fee schedule for our Tours. Most tours of the farm take about two hours.
Families & Groups under 10 people - $20
Groups over 10 people - $2 per person

*** NOTE ***
Too often the directions found with online maps do not get you here. Those maps are great in high population areas, but not always satisfactory here in the country. Be sure to call us and to double check your directions.

BASIC DIRECTIONS from
I-69; take (exit 45) State Road 28 go East. SR 28 comes to a "T" and
blends for a time with State Road 67, Turn left at this "T" (there is a Marathon
Gas station at this spot). Over the river, round the bend and you will see
the Muncie Drag Strip on your right at the bottom of the hill. There is a county
cross road here - County Road 500 East called Black Cemetery Road. Turn
left (north) at the Drag Strip. You will then turn right (east) at the
First Stop Sign. This is County Road 850 North (also called Gregory Road -
our road). You cannot miss the farm.
